Presidential hopeful Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton gave no indication of backing down from the presidency despite news that Sen. Barack Obama had clinched the necessary amount of delegates in order to be named as the Democratic presidential candidate.

Just minutes after CNN projected Obama as the Democratic party nominee for president, Clinton took center stage in order to address her supporters at Baruch College's Athletic Recreation Complex on Tuesday, June 3.

CUNY loans safe, but future is bleak

On June 2, The New York Times ran an article titled, "Student Loans Start to Bypass 2-Year Colleges." The loans, more specifically private loans, are no longer available to some schools as certain banks cut down on the number of loans that they are to provide to college students due to the unstable credit market.

NEALLEY, RODRIGUEZ INDICTED FOR OSA EMBEZZLEMENT

A Middlesex County grand jury today indicted Jodie Nealley and another former Office of Student Activities (OSA) administrator for allegedly embezzling close to $1 million from the university. Nealley served as the office's director from 1996 until 2007, when she was fired after the university accused her of embezzling approximately $300,000.
